"You can imagine Tango Sabroso is like a traditional tango in g minor, but
section C gives the surprise: Tango changes into latin music. Timpani, marimba
and drums are replaced with congas, guiro and claves (three percussionists is
enough). It is not worth looking for perfect latin figures, but tango orchestra
is supposed to reach Sabroso (spanish) feel, which means sapid. The melody in
section C is variying in trumpet, euphonium and clarinet parts. In the last
section C with modulations, the
beautiful contrapunctual play joins the sabroso feel." A divided 3rd prize in the
